Confidentiality first
Client names, family life and property details remain private. We never use a client's identity or home in marketing without express permission.
Private Estate Management
Discreet, year-round grounds management for private households, family offices and estate managers. Familiar teams, clear oversight and respect for the way your household runs.
Based in Sandhurst · Berkshire, Hampshire & Surrey
Owner-led, personally accountable
Dan understands the estate's priorities and oversees the service standards, working with your household or estate representative.
Lisa coordinates requests, calls and correspondence, helping keep arrangements clear and the service running smoothly.
Private estate management
We take responsibility for the complete outdoor environment—not simply a list of gardening tasks. From fine lawns and formal gardens to entrances, parkland, woodland edges and seasonal requirements, everything is managed to one consistently high standard.
Confidential by nature
Privacy is not an optional extra
Your home is a private environment, not simply a workplace. We agree access arrangements, household preferences and sensitive areas before work begins, then operate respectfully and without drawing unnecessary attention.
Client names, family life and property details remain private. We never use a client's identity or home in marketing without express permission.
Consistent, well-briefed teams learn the estate, understand household preferences and work with minimal supervision.
We respect access controls, restricted areas, arrival arrangements, staff protocols and any site-specific security requirements.
Work is planned around the household, guests, events and travel, with close-to-house tasks timed appropriately.
Non-disclosure agreements and estate-specific confidentiality procedures are welcomed.
Selected estate care
A real programme, shared discreetly
One private country estate receives a structured SGS programme across four days each week, throughout the year. Its identity and precise location remain confidential; the scale of care does not.
The images above are representative, protecting the privacy of the estate described.
The estate programme
What this model provides
The programme gives the household consistent standards, familiar people and a clear point of accountability. Weekly work and seasonal priorities are coordinated together, while additional needs can be absorbed without the estate becoming a collection of disconnected contractors.
Best suited to: large gardens and private estates that need regular multi-person care, proactive oversight and long-term continuity.
Client words · Wentworth Estate
“We were very pleased with the work the guys do to maintain our garden to such a high standard. I cannot fault their professionalism.”
Mr A · Wentworth Estate
If your current arrangement feels reactive or fragmented, we can design one accountable programme around your estate.

What we manage
Tailored to the estate
A planned annual programme covering the agreed grounds responsibilities. Our team delivers routine care and coordinates specialist works where needed, with additional costs and permissions agreed before work proceeds.
One joined-up programme covering the formal garden, wider grounds, entrances, boundaries and seasonal priorities—with a clear point of contact and regular management attention.
Large grass areas, avenues, verges, tracks, woodland edges, lake surrounds, paddock margins and outlying areas kept purposeful, safe and well presented.
Gateways, drives, frontages, gravel areas and the approach to the house maintained to create the right impression every day.
Detailed preparation before guests and functions, followed by discreet reset work, leaf clearance and responsive attention after poor weather.
Planting improvements, lawn renovation, tree works, fencing, irrigation and one-off projects coordinated with trusted specialists where required.
Why SGS
Professional · Reliable · Proactive
Established in Sandhurst in 2011, SGS combines experienced grounds care, professional systems and personal accountability.
Who we are
Owner-led. Local. Built around standards.
Sandhurst Garden Services was founded by Dan Martin in 2011 and has grown into SGS Ltd—an established grounds and estate management company serving Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
We have grown by earning trust, taking pride in the details and being the team clients can rely on. Dan and Lisa remain closely involved in the business, supported by an experienced management structure and skilled grounds teams.
Our aim is to combine the equipment, organisation and capacity of a professional contractor with the personal accountability of an owner-led local business. Clients know who is responsible, communication stays direct and the team understands what matters at their property.
Founder & Director
Dan leads the direction of SGS, client relationships, service standards and the way each estate or contract is delivered. He remains personally invested in the quality of the work and the long-term relationships behind it.
Co-Director
Lisa is a key part of SGS behind the scenes—taking care of client requests, calls, emails and office coordination. She helps ensure information reaches the right people, clients receive a response and the business continues to run smoothly.
Before your first conversation
Yes. We agree a main contact, clear responsibilities and a programme that fits around the household, existing staff and other contractors.
We welcome non-disclosure agreements and estate-specific confidentiality procedures. Access arrangements, restricted areas and communication preferences are discussed before work begins.
Our service is outdoor grounds management: gardens, wider grounds, entrances and agreed related works. Specialist jobs can be coordinated separately. The proposal defines the scope; it is not a financial, legal or household-management service.
A general location, contact details and an outline of the grounds are enough for a first conversation. Please do not send security codes, access instructions or sensitive household details through an initial enquiry.
A private first conversation
Tell us what you need from your grounds team. Initial conversations and site visits are handled personally and discreetly.
